I've been working with a group to get a lovely, decent young doctor out of Khan Yunis. Dr Feras. He's 27 years old and the University of Galway has accepted him into a master’s program in diabetes so he can get a visa to come to Ireland. We just need to get him out to safety. I think you all know what's happening in Khan Yunis.
Israel and the US have been luring desperate people to get aid and are killing them there.
Feras is in contact with us. He's in a tent with his family. His house is gone, his hospital is gone. I'm very worried for him. He remains gracious and grateful for our meager efforts. He assures us daily that he's still alive and is looking forward to going to study in Ireland and bring the expertise back to Gaza.
We are organizing a fundraiser in Dublin when I get back. But we need to keep his campaign active. If you have the price of a coffee even that would make a difference to us. As one of the professors from faculty for justice for Palestine said at alternative graduation, if you come to help us that's not going to work but if you understand that our liberation is bound together then that's a different thing. So all the money raised from this will go to his campaign
